Chairman of the Mazhilis (lower house) of the Parliament of Kazakhstan pays a visit to Hanoi University
HANU – During the official visit to Vietnam, on the afternoon of November 14, 2019, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, President of the Lower House of the Republic of Kazakhstan, visited Hanoi University. The representative of the school leaders, President Nguyen Van Trao received Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin and the delegation.
For Hanoi University, the visit of Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin, President of the Lower House of the Republic of Kazakhstan at this time is of great importance since this is the 60th anniversary of the University’s founding (1959 – 2019 ). This is also a significant year that marks 27 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Kazakhstan.
At the meeting between Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin and officials, lecturers and students of Hanoi University, President Nguyen Van Trao expressed his pride of welcoming Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin. The President briefly introduced Hanoi University – one of the most prestigious research and teaching institution in Vietnam in foreign languages teaching. As a higher education institution, Hanoi University wishes to have many opportunities to cooperate with Kazakh universities such as student, lecturer exchanges, and joint research
The President also shared his insights about Kazakhstan, emphasizing that the Republic of Kazakhstan is not only well-known for its beautiful natural landscapes but also for its position on the world higher education map. with 4 highest-ranked universities in QS World Ranking in 2016/2017. Vietnam and Kazakhstan are two countries with long-standing relations. Vietnam is considered by Kazakhstan to be an important partner in Southeast Asia, and relations between the two countries are being promoted in many fields such as economy, trade, agriculture, transportation, culture, tourism and specialities. especially education and training.
During the meeting, Mr. Nurlan Nigmatulin shared insightful information about Kazakhstan with the proud achievements that the country and people of Kazakhstan have been making. Chairman Nurlan Nigmatulin also had interesting and open answers to questions from staff, lecturers and students of Hanoi University on issues such as: Agreement on cooperation in education between Vietnam and Kazakhstan; the similarities and differences between the National Assembly of the two countries; careers that tend to develop in the coming years …
